Very nice - WW1 - 1914 Mons Star with Clasp - Issued To: 9491 Pte W Riley Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment ( Sherwood Foresters ) Rosette on ribbon: British War & Victory medal's. Silver war Badge ( 232124 ) Lacking Pin Fitting on reverse. William Riley enlisted on the 14th July 1904 serving with the 2nd battalion Sherwood Foresters, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on the 8th September 1914. The regiment was placed in the 18th Infantry Brigade, 6th Division in Pulterney's III Army Corp's. They were on the left Flank of the British Lineat La Bassee. Pte W Riley was discharged due to wounds on the 17th July 1917 and awarded the Silver Wound Badge. Comes with Comrades Badge of the Great war, Lapel badge; enamelled: ' Old Contemptibles Association Lapel Badge' Bronze. Clasp Confirmed.
