2nd Lieut Herbert Palmer Clarke - 46th Squadron R A F - From The Hollies, St James' Crescent, Clackton on Sea. D O B - 23rd August 1892 -   Died 1st October 1918 - Age 27.   Son Of James Carr Herbert and Mary Ann Clarke; husband of Dorothy Clarke, of Southwood Old Road., Frinton- on-Sea. Picture's Only -( Sadly medals are missing ) Frame Height is 16" inches Width is 12" inches With Glass holding the picture in, little tacky on reverse.  Frame looks to be to period.  Also there is another Large Original Photgraph Of 2nd Lieut Herbert Palmer Clarke.  Measures 12" inches by 10"    He is remembered with honour at Bronfay Farm Military Cemetary, Bray-Sur-Somme. Included in this set is his death scroll which has been mounted on cardboard, & 2 photos of Herbert. The death scroll records him as 2nd Lieutenant Herbert Palmer Clarke, 46th Squadron Royal Air Force, however of course prior to 1st April 1918 it was called the Royal Flying Corps. Herbert was flying a Sopwith F.1 Camel when he was killed in France.
